2026 OPEN PLAYER TRYOUT INFORMATION ANNOUNCED

Roster Aims To Include Both Established Veterans & Top Young Players (Including Locally); and

Arizona’s Top Elite Women’s Soccer Returns This Summer at Peoria Sports Complex  Following the Cactus League Season When the Stadium Field Will Transition Into a Soccer Configuration.

 

Desert Dreams F.C. — Arizona’s newest Women’s Premier Soccer League team — is seeking to include top women’s soccer players locally in its official season roster.  Specifically, the team announced today it will be holding an open tryout on Sunday, April 26th (9am) at Peoria Sports Complex’s main stadium field (currently serving as the Cactus League home for both the San Diego Padres & Seattle Mariners).

Last year’s inaugural season roster featured a range of accomplished players, including…:

 

–Dyana Dawood — member of the Iraqi Women’s National Team

 

–Anaiya Miyazato — West Valley native who plays for the Mexican Youth National Team (Under-17) & recently signed to play collegiately at NCAA women’s soccer power UCLA

 

–Holly Hunter — member of the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team

–Averaged 1,500+ Fans/Game.  (Set Women’s Premier Soccer League Division Record.)

 

–Nationally Ranked During Season (Top 25 Poll)

 

–Featured Diverse Player Pool (50%+ of Roster Had Direct Ties to Arizona Market)

 

Player registration fee is $50 and includes a free ticket to the team’s home opener.

 

Season Two Kicks Off in Late May

 

Desert Dreams F.C.’s Women’s Premier Soccer League second season kicks off this summer at Peoria Sports Complex following the Cactus League season when the stadium field will once again transition into a soccer configuration.  The team’s unique brand identity was voted on by the fans.  And the team’s upcoming match schedule is expected to be announced by the Club in mid-April.
